A beautiful day was dawning! The sun was slowly beginning to light up the coast of South Africa and everything around was coming to life. At this magical moment two little penguins came into the world. Dinos and Mary were born in the warm arms of their mother and brought her great joy!
They grew up, enjoying the protection and love of their mom who was still teaching them to swim and fish. No one paid attention to the little peculiarity of Dino, who had something different: his right fin was shorter than his left. Perhaps because their mother made sure that Dino never felt different from the others.
"Mom, why doesn't my wing grow like the others'?" Dinos asked one day, looking at it curiously.
His mom smiled and hugged him fondly. "So you can stand out, my boy! That's the specialness that makes you unique! Besides, what matters is your heart and how brave you are! It's a small difficulty that you just have to face!"

Indeed, Dino didn't let his small wing get in the way of his daily life. He swam fast, somersaulted in the water and caught fish like the best hunters did. In fact, his friends noticed something strange; when he swam too fast, his little fin made a distinctive sound, a playful whistling sound in the water.
"Do you hear that sound? Dinos is here!" his friend Paris shouted excitedly.
"It's his trademark!" Mary laughed.
As time passed, Dinos was becoming a great fisherman. But one winter, the sea grew wild, often and unceasingly! The fish were few! The penguins were hungry and couldn't find enough food.
One morning, Dino sat on a rock looking out over the sea. He was probably seeing something strange. Somewhere in the distance, the water had a dark hue. "It could be a big school of fish!" he thought and without a second thought, he dove into the water.
As he swam, the current was strong, but Dino didn't stop. He slid deeper and deeper, pushing himself constantly over his limits. When he got close, he began to notice silvery flashes beneath the surface of the water. It was a huge school of fish moving fast, but they hadn't noticed Dino.
"This is our chance!" he thought and, without hesitation, he began to swim around the school, making it concentrate in a smaller area. As he swam with speed, the distinctive playful whistle of his fin echoed in the water.

On shore, his friends stopped what they were doing. "Do you hear that? Dinos is chasing fish!" shouted Chris.
"Let's go!" said Mary, and they all dove into the water.
Swimming towards him, they found Dino struggling with the water and fighting to lead the fish to an ideal hunting position. It was the largest school of fish they had ever seen! They threw themselves furiously into the food their friend provided and soon filled their bellies and even took fish for later!
When they returned to shore, everyone hugged Dino.
"You are our savior! You are our hero! You are...! You are...!" Mary told him happily.
"No, don't exaggerate! I didn't accomplish all this on mu own! " replied Dino humbly. "We all did it together!"
His friend Paris, said with a laugh: "From now on, we'll call you Dino Vivaldi! The sound of your wing is like music! In our bellies! Ha... ha... ha..."
Everyone burst out laughing and Dino got his nickname. Every time his whistle sounded, everyone knew that something great was happening at sea!
And so, Dinos Vivaldi lived many more adventures, always with the sound of his wing echoing in the sea, like a melody full of courage and goodness.
He understood well that trying to overcome this peculiarity had made him stronger, had made him a hero and... as his mother had told him, had made him unique!
